The Galaxy Dress is made up of 24,000  full color LEDs that were hand embroidered onto the 4 layers of silk chiffon.  For an extra touch of sparkle, 4000 colorful Swarovski crystals decorate areas without LEDs.  The dress was made by two London based designers,  Francesca Rosella and Ryan Genz, and  is on display at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.   The design duo started Cute Circuit, a collection of “wearable technology”.   The battery life on the dress only lasts 30 minutes … but long enough to outshine the competition

Yes summer’s over, but we can’t get enough of Insight’s Dopamine II campaign … its SPECTACULAR! Fashion meets art … these posters are like fashion editorials that can be found in the pages of Vogue.  The ads shows off the laid back, rocker clothes and makes us wish it was summer again …

This Aussie brand that started as a surfboard company produces laid back clothing inspired by art and popular music.  Their fall 09′ collection is just as wonderful … consisting of slouchy tops, dresses, and jackets in array of colors and prints, cut out tees, and crazy patterned leggings, do check it out!!

This isn’t your ordinary tale of love …

“Luv Delux” is a single off UK electro-pop group Cinnamon Chasers‘ album “A Million Miles from Home”.  We were not only captivated by the song, but also the visual story-telling that gives different perspectives towards love and life … quite eccentric, but thats what we love about it.

We are loving the structured and modern pieces from J.Alvo. Many of the pieces in the collection can be worn in different ways for a variety of looks.  Our favorite is the “Twiggy” tunic with its angular contrast seam lines and versatile funnel collar… sporty and edgy.  Another favorite  is the “Motorcycle” mini …the small stud detail gives the skirt a bold statement without being too overpowering.  Can’t wait to see more desgins for winter!

A few days ago, we made a post about a dashing Korean designer that we met at the FOCUS show in L.A. (Kay Lim Designs). That post subsequently led me down a series of thoughts on designers that the Thread Sence team fell in love with on that very day. It took awhile before I came to, but eventually I tracked down the company that sent all of us in a state of fashion overload.
