I swear, just give me a girl with enough vocal ability to halt a tsunami and I’ll die very, very happily. Fortunately for me, I think I’ve found her. Her name is Florence Welch and she is the fiery lead singer of my newest obsession, Florence + the Machine. If indie and soul had an affair, this band would be their love child. Their sound has a hint of an experimental feel and sometimes their songs can almost sound gospel-like, which quite frankly, makes me want to throw on a robe and jump in the choir with them.
F+TM is a band based out of London, England. Their debut album, Lungs, has received much critical acclaim in the UK and has held the No. 2 spot on the UK album chart for a consecutive five weeks. If you didn’t check them out at Coachella ’10 this pass weekend (total fail on your part btw) then you’re gonna have to purchase a first class trip to the UK cause that’s where they’ll be touring for the next 3 months (yikes!). Hurry and get on it already!

Comments (1)During the Pool tradeshow awhile back, we came across a line inspired by nature & culture, driven by their passion for cool & original designs, and committed to local sustainable production. Fluffyco is an indie brand based in the beautiful San Francisco and embraces the cultural mix that the city offers.
The brand consists of great apparel pieces as well as nifty little accessories and home decor. We loved everything!! Our fave, the bottle opener wall decor … so unique, so creative, and so useful!! The best part … its now available at Threadsence
