Bright and Beautiful

November 23rd, 2009 | Style, Art

Talk about lighting up a room when you enter … literally … The Galaxy Dress is made up of 24,000  full color LEDs that were hand embroidered onto the 4 layers of silk chiffon.  For an extra touch of sparkle, 4000 colorful Swarovski crystals decorate areas without LEDs.  The dress was made by two London based designers,  Francesca Rosella and Ryan Genz, and  is on display at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.   The design duo started Cute Circuit, a collection of “wearable technology”.   The battery life on the dress only lasts 30 minutes … but long enough to outshine the competition :) galaxydress (image via Gadget Lab)
