Lately there’s been a massive shortage of XX chromosomes in these mixtapes. I was just about to grab my axe and start some riot grrrl action but then Haim and Florence + The Machine came to rescue me from my spontaneous and most likely highly embarrassing female empowerment tour. Anyway. I’m still on my summer high mode thanks to XY fronted bands like Cheers Elephant and that oh so wonderful remix of KO KO’s “Float” by Polaris At Noon; and you’ll find yourself in it too once you take a listen.
