You guys. There has not been a TV show that has made us this in love with anything, so you can imagine our excitement that the show and our girl Lena Dunham have been nominated for like practically every Emmy possible. The award show is this Sunday, and we’re expecting a Girls clean sweep. Honestly, this’ll mark the first Emmy’s we’ve been excited for in quite some time, and we can thank Hannah and the gang for that. In honor of our favorite four girls to grace television ever, we want to give you the lowdown on how to dress up like your favorite character just in case you’ll be having a Girls party, complete with giant tattoos, horrible boyfriends, and maybe a Sex and the City poster.
Oh Hannah, how we love your cringeworthy awkwardness and genius lines. There’s a reason why every girl in the world can relate to her and it’s the same reason she’s undeniably geeky yet so awesomely awesome at the same time….and we’re completely obsessed with the fact that she pulls it off so effortlessly.
Jessa’s definitely the sexy/edgy/”WHY AM I NOT HER” one of the group. Every girl wants to be her and every guy wants to be with her. How can anyone resist that English accent? It’s only a plus to her badass DGAF attitude, which matches her daring sense of style.
Okay, so maybe Marnie needs to be a little less uptight personality-wise, but it sure is working for her in the style department. So classy, chic, and respectable, Marnie’s wardrobe is so good that we can forgive her for being so high strung all the friggin’ time.
Shoshanna’s possibly the most lovable quirky/crazy girl to ever grace television. We love her innocent soul and surprising sense of wisdom that translates so well in her outfits. She might not be Sex and the City stylish but she’s sure as hell making it o.k. to be Shosh chic.
One mistake at a time,
Melissa and Teresa
