DIY: Floral Sunglasses

August 29th, 2012 | Style, DIY

These floral sunglasses starred in our latest moodboard, Dust in the Wind. What better way to soften up military-inspiration than with a splash of pink and giant floral sunglasses? Exactly. Peace, love, and flowers, ya’ll. Now here’s how you can make them…

What you need:
Giant Sunglasses (like these)
Floral appliques (We bought ours at Michael’s)
Hot glue gun

1. Hot glue the back of the appliques – no more than a small dot.

2. Place your flower carefully on the glasses, and hold until the glue dries.

3. As you put more flowers on the glasses, take the hot glue gun and glue the back of the flowers to the other flowers to ensure they stay in place. Keep gluing and placing, gluing and placing, ’til you’re all done.

4. Ta-da! You’re all finished. Have fun with the different colored flowers and designs! And most of all, work those glasses like there’s no tomorrow, like so..

Heck, you can even carry a pink water gun with you if it makes you feel more awesome.
