At both Magic and NYFW, we saw a tons of boots with belt-like details and fell in love with this fall trend. So we thought, why not just DIY it? Behold, one of our most favorite projects – easy, trendy, and just really, really awesome.
What you need:
- A pair of western-inspired boots. We used our Going West Boots.
- A few belts. You can use the same belts for each shoe, or mix it up!
We used (from bottom to top) our:
– Seventies Stud Belt
– Stud Stunner Belt
– Gold Accent Belt
- Optional: charm necklace. (Similar: Mystic Charm Feather Necklace, Native Lands Feather Necklace, Native Charm Necklace by Roots & Feathers)
What you do:
- Take the first belt and wrap it around your boot 2 or 3 times until you can buckle both ends together. Use bobby pins to secure the loose parts of the belt.
– Repeat these steps with as many belts as you want until you achieve the look you want for your boots.
- Optional: You can attach a necklace to your boot for extra charm.
- That’s it! You’re ready to be the best of the west.

This is really clever and very effective. Some good ideas to spruce up some old boots. Thank you for the inspiration!
