Oh Griswolds, how I have missed you in the past few months. Heart of a Lion features four songs from the wacky feel-awesome dudes. In addition to “Heart of a Lion” and “Mississippi,” the EP unleashes two new songs that most definitely stay true to The Griswolds’ upbeat summer pop sound. Listening to “The Courtship of Summer Preasley” has me in a car going 100 mph trying to chase down the summer season, but alas, all I can do is pretend it’s summer and have my 10 person dance party anyway. “Red Tuxedo” on the other hand, experiments with a more slow and chill vibe. I’m most certainly digging the soprano vocals that are backed by swift guitar plucks, soft shakers, smooth and steady beats, and gentle harmonies. This EP is too short and sweet that it’s not enough to hold me over. C’mon guys, when is the LP coming out already?! Quit playing games with my heart.

I’ll be comin’ around,
