Ray Bradbury is one of those literary gods that you and the rest of the world should never forget, at least we won’t. He had amazing ability in painting images with words and write profound quotes that we want to scribble all over our journals, walls, arms in that write it down, say it loud, and commit forever in our memories kind of way. If you’ve never read Ray Bradbury, consider this your sign to start. I highly suggest starting with Dandelion Winea and Zen in the Art of Writing.
A few of our favorite quotes:
“I’m ALIVE. Thinking about it, noticing it, is new. You do things and don’t watch. Then all of a sudden you look and see what you’re doing and it’s the first time, really.”
“Be certain of this: when honest love speaks, when true admiration begins, when excitement rises, when hate curls like smoke, you need never doubt that creativity will stay with you for a lifetime.”
“Self-consciousness is the enemy of all art, be it acting, writing, painting, or living itself, which is the greatest art of all.”
“There is only one type of story in the world. Your story.”
I could literally go on forever..
