Explosions in Teresa’s mind is more like it. This band live at Coachella was everything I imagined and more…if there was any disappointment in the slightest bit, it was pointed towards the fact that their set was less than an hour long (55 minutes?!). They could’ve used those last 5 minutes for ‘Your Hand In Mine’…just sayin’. But regardless, it was fantastic.

Explosions in the Sky opened with ‘First Breath After Coma,’ and let’s just say I literally felt like that title when they performed it. Then they went into ‘The Only Moment We Were Alone’ and I went ballistic. I think I was half hoping they would play all of The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place…but I knew I was only kidding myself. They pretty much just raged for the rest of their set (hence, why most of my pictures came out as blurry messes of awesomeness). This was probably the first show I experienced where almost everyone in the crowd had their eyes closed. Everyone in that crowd was there for the music. And I felt right at home.

Still exploding,
Teresa
