We don’t mind spending all day staring at our new spring lookbook, All Who Wander. Everything about it is seriously gorgeous. From the location of the shoot to all the different ways each item was styled (by the one and only Kat Bonus, of course), the amazing props and shots, and our stunning model– this lookbook has got to be one of our favorites. We were dying to know how it all went down, and what better way to do that then to have another sesh of Sit Down with Our Stylist?

Explain the story behind this lookbook for us.

The Threadsence team really wanted to capture the essence of a free-spirited wanderer who had no limits or restrictions of the city or life in general, so we came up with the idea of a “glamping” wanderer. A girl roaming and exploring the world, but who of course, is dressed to the t. Glamping – glamorous camping :) .

Where/who did you draw inspiration from for the styling of this lookbook.

I really tapped into my inner gypsy when it came to styling for this shoot. It’s a girl who isn’t afraid of mixing things together and definitely not afraid of piling on the jewels and accessories. We wanted the overall looks to feel more luxe and glamorous to our bohemian girl. At the end, we wanted everyone to want to be this cool gypsy wanderer.

So… This tee pee! Where did it come from and how did the idea of using one come to mind?

The GLORIOUS teepee (sigh) it was amazing! Seriously did not want to take it apart. The team figured any glamper would need a serious canopy or teepee to go along with her, so we went for a luxurious teepee. Happy that our creative team decided to use creams, ivories, and whites to pull the whole look together.

One of the best parts of this outfit is that awesome crown, which reminds us of Max from Where the Wild Things Are. How do we bring this look into real life?

Love the crown and definitely ideal for the festival season. You can also check out our quick and easy DIY on the feather crown.

The lookbook video made us wish we were on set with you guys. What jams were you guys pumping all throughout the shoot, if any?

Ok as corny as this sounds – Beyonce!!! I mean how can we not ;)

And, of course, we have to ask: top two favorite looks?

1) Teepee outfit (w/ floral crown): The outfit with the teepee, pillows, and rug just felt right and ideal for the this shot. I love the pop of pink against the neutral backdrop, along with how well the floral crown really added to the look.

2) Spinning outfit (all cream): I mean the dress was PERFECT for this twirling look. I moved so well and gracefully that I couldn’t have asked for a better item to pair this scene with. Love the clean and minimalistic look of an all cream outfit.

Absolute favooorite thing about spring?
I guess I can’t really say warmer weather because it’s pretty much spring/summer all year round for southern california, but I will have to say daylight savings time. The days feeling longer makes me a happy person :) .

If you could have a week long “spring break” where would you wander to?

Bali – I’ve been dying to go and would be a great place to wander and get lost within their culture/lifestyle.

Thanks, Kat!!!
