Summer is slowly settling down but let’s be real, I’m just getting started. The likes of Diplo and Poolside seem to also agree with me, dropping fresh to absolute death tracks that soothe my aural senses like they’re sunbathing topless in Jamaica. Supergroup Divine Fits’ “Would That Not Be Nice” and Bombay Bicycle Club’s reimagining of “Little Talks” together is the icy bottle of Corona with lime sitting ever so nicely in my hand. The condensation is certainly palpable. And before your hipster alarm rings and repels you from the Will Smith remix track, REMEMBER, when it comes to awesome tuneage, I can do you no wrong. By nixing the record scratches and Will Smith altogether and substituting them with fresh synths and beats, Viceroy concocts the ultimate summer jam by reinventing an old one.

Diplo – “Hot Chip vs. Major Lazer (Extended Version)”

Poolside – “Harvest Moon”

Divine Fits – “Would That Not Be Nice”

Of Monsters and Men – “Little Talks (Bombay Bicycle Club Remix)”

Will Smith – “Gettin’ Jiggy With It (Viceroy “Jet Life” Remix)”

And the living’s easy,
Teresa
