Keiko of Keiko Lynn , Liz of Late Afternoon, and Laura of On The Racks looks awesomely polished in our picks of ‘fits from this week. <3

Keiko rocked an ah-mazing printed asymmetrical dress that we just about died over. Her rockin’ leather jacket, hat, and bright purse finish off her edgy but feminine look. Now we’re totes inspired for our weekend attire.

Liz looks effortlessly cool in just about the most awesome pair of pants we’ve seen. Forever fans of the half-tuck, her casual yellow shirt with a collar necklace brings this ‘fit to perfection. #Dying

Again, half-tucks are our fave and Laura’s leopard top peeking out of her wide stripes makes this outfit for us. We also love her fun mix of leopard prints and black socks peering out from her ankle boots. #LOVE

So you’re going to fashion week and you are so excited, you are hyperventilating on the daily. It’s cool, girl..we got you. Behold the ultimate ThreadSence guide to the ultimate Fashion Event of the Year, from what to wear to how to get that street style photographer’s attention to surviving what may be the craziest week of your life. Lehgo:

Tips for Getting Your Picture Snapped by A Street Style Photog
1. Two words: on trend. Street Style photogs are always on the look out for the hottest trends to feature and photograph, so wear a hot item, and you’re golden.
2. Color! Color will not only catch the photog’s attention better, it always photographs better (win, win situation here), so skip the all black ensemble and throw in a few pops of color.
3. Overaccessorize. If you think you have too much on, add another piece. Seriously.
4. It’s all about the details. Don’t let your hair, lipstick and nail polish go without a little bit of attention.
5. Let me just say, if you’re going to splurge on one thing, one thing at all, it better be the sexiest pair of shoes that you (now) own.

Tips for surviving fashion week
1. Plan every single outfit ahead of time and pack them all together.
2. Start every morning with a big breakfast – it could be the last time you eat all day and a grumbling stomach just isn’t cool.
3. If you’re heading out for a day of shows, make sure to bring a snack. If you have the gift of high metabolism and breakfast just wasn’t cutting it, bring along granola bars.
4. Avoid all the free booze. We know, we know, you think we’re crazy, but seriously, being tired and bloated just isn’t fun.
5. It may be tempting, but don’t be the last to leave a party. Get some sleep, you’ll thank us later.
Have fun and good luck everyone! If you end up wearing TS, send us photos! Oh, and say hi to Anna for us. ha. ![]()

Let’s face it: rocking only one metal at a time is pretty old fashioned. Come join us in our Metallic Mayhem: break out your bronze, gold, silver, and everything in between and mix ‘em all up until your metal loving heart is content. ‘Cause honestly..metallics were meant to be messed with.

Uh, this is awesome. Thanks to Because I’m Addicted, we have found our newest obsession. A seemingly normal chandelier, Polish designer, Pani Jurek’s, Maria S.C. chandelier lamp is actually crafted with tubes, which can be easily filled with liquids, flowers, glitter, anything you can think of to create a chandelier perfect for any occasion. Dream. Come. True. DIY anyone?

Bon Iver “We Are Music” Grammy Spot from stereogum on Vimeo.
Ok, I’m not going to lie, I’m not a huge fan of awards shows. I rarely ever tune in to watch them, and if I do, it’s only to see what everyone is wearing. #letsbehonest That being said, this year’s Grammy ”We Are Music” campaign may force me to sing another tune. Beautifully done, and featuring a couple amazing artists (Skrillex is gong to get one too #needtosee), these commercials are getting even me amped to see what they come up with during the actual show. I mean, award show performances aren’t ever my favorite (exception: Britney at the 2000 VMA’s and Justin Timberlake at 2006 VMA’s #dontjudgeme), but if the commercials are this good, then the actual performaces better be ridiculously awesome. Call me naive, but I prefer hopeful.
Tuning in February 12?

“A master of color and geometric composition, Andy Gilmore’s work is often characterized as kaleidoscopic and hypnotic, though it could just as well be described as visually acoustic, his often complex arrangements referencing the scales and melodies in music.” – The Ghostly Store

Jules of Sincerely, Jules, Raych of That’s Chic, Jenny of Neon Blush made playfully bold fashion choices this week that we just love.

Jules’ mix of prints and colors is sha-mazing. Her arm party, rocker belt, and chic fur vest make her ‘fit one of our most coveted. And did you see her shoes?? (cue scrolling up). Complete color riot. #LOVE

Raych makes us long for the nineties in the best way possible. Her floral acid prints are ridiculously awesome, especially with her flirty pink skirt and wide belt. Raych, we love ya, kid.

Jenny’s printed pants are having a party all on their own. Paired with stripes and the perfect complementary bright blue bag, this is one rager we’re glad we didn’t miss out on.

image via Harlan’s Facebook
Who: Harlan
Scene: Los Angeles, CA
Sounds like: Groovy, Dancey, Jazzy, OOOOOH, Funky
Why he’s awesome: Harlan’s foot-tapping, head-bobbing infused music is as feel-good as you can possibly get. His awesome sound thrives on 100% organic funk (NO MSG), and thus compels just about anyone to get up and dance. Try not to, I dare you. His voice goes down smoother than a 1995 glass of pinot noir, which pairs well with his soulful, jazzy beats and guitar riffs. You’ll find yourself drunk off of his smooth, funky swag in no time.
For more of Harlan, and I know you want more: Website, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube.
Dancin’ on the bed now,
Melissa
