A couple weeks ago Melissa and I traveled back to Santa Cruz to gather the rest of my things (and pretty much all of Melissa’s belongings that I so kindly forced her to leave behind a month ago in order to bring back my own). After we relentlessly crammed and stuffed our oversized vehicle with clothes, record players, books, mattreses, giant martini glasses (that broke), we decided to reward ourselves with a trip to one of our favorite cities, San Francisco. Just that weekend we had purchased a six pack of Hell or High Watermelon wheat beer and pretty much fell in love with the design of the packaging. Coincidentally, the brewery that produces it, called 21st Amendment, just so happened to be based in SF AND also runs a restaurant in addition to the brewery. So we decided to roll on over and check it out. And of course, I hated it. Just kidding. I freakin’ loved it. I loved it so much I wanted to stay in Norcal just so I could go on a strict 21st Amendment diet. Okay maybe I’m exaggerating, but I definitely am excited to move back in the Fall just so I can sink my teeth and liver into some more 21st action. Once I stepped inside, I knew that I had made the right choice to come. The place had awesome decor and a homey, welcoming atmosphere..PLUS everyone was having a pint of beer with their meal…uh, MOST AWESOME PLACE EVER. 21st also has 4 separate menus: Brunch (only on Sundays from 10-2:30pm), Lunch, Late Lunch, and Dinner. We luckily got to have both Lunch and Brunch menus, and EVERYTHING on them sounded amazing (which is always a good sign). I finally decided on the Corned Beef Hash and Poached Eggs with a Black in Black beer (delicious to the max) while Melissa got the Meatloaf Sliders with an Amber Waves beer (also deliciousness maximus).

And cue multiple foodgasms…
