Two of the most talented, attractive, perfect people around, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Natalie Portman (King and Queen respectively) come together in what I believe will be my favorite movie of the year, Hesher. This film is a 2010 Sundance Film Festival selection aka an indie film, but an indie film in its truest sense. As Joseph Gordon-Levitt explains via his tumblr (featuring his collaborative production company project, hitREcord, which really deserves its own post, stay tuned), “this really is an “indie” film, meaning it’s being independently released without any huge corporations behind the marketing and advertising and all that jazz.  500 Days of Summer had that “indie” spirit, but it was put out by Fox Searchlight who has tons of resources to spread the word.  HESHER’s just got us.  So pass it around!”  We at TS follow directions well so we are, as instructed by the man who unknowingly owns my heart and soul, passing the courvoisier news around. The film comes out May 8; we will be there, front of the line, and yes, of course I will write a blog review on it!…I thought you’d never ask. Hesher is starring Natalie Portman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Rainn Wilson; it’s produced by Natalie Portman herself; Metallica gave the movie their music…do I need to further explain how excited I am about this film? Watch the trailer now, and feel your insides squirm with anticipation. Nothing beats Joseph Gordon-Levitt in underwear and Natalie Portman in adorable glasses.
